Facilities

Abul Hasan ash-Shadhili Research Hub has a number of facilities to offer its users. All the public and students have access to free wifi through the center's internet devices. Other visitors can request temporary guest wifi access on the device at the Help Desk. There are laptop clusters on the Ground Floor reserved for students. Students and the general public can access the laptops and tablets on the Ground Floor. All users can access electronic resources via laptops and tablets.

Print books available at the research hub are 3000 plus. For more information please view the list.

Laptops

There are thirty (30) laptops available at the Abul Hasan ash-Shadhili Research Hub for public use. These devices are provided according to availability and are intended for in-center use only. All laptops must remain in the research hub premises at all times. Failure to comply will be considered theft and reported to the police for prosecution.

Tablets

There are fifteen (15) tablets available at the center for public use. These devices are provided according to availability and are intended for in-center use only. All tablets must remain in the research hub premises at all times. Failure to comply will be considered theft and reported to the police for prosecution.

Wifi

The Abul Hasan ash-Shadhili Research Hub provides free wireless access (WiFi), WiFi-enabled devices of the research hub only. Users can bring their own laptops or other wireless devices to the research center.

Auditorium

Abul Hasan ash-Shadhili Research Hub's Auditorium (Room 04) can be used for movie showings (provided public performance rights are obtained), lectures, or seminars. The research center's  auditorium can be used by instructors on occasion for a class that needs the space for its courses. The auditorium is fully accessible and has 40  seats. Reading Room

The research hub currently has three study rooms that are available during normal hours for individual or small group of users for study, projects, or meetings:

  • Study Room 1 (maximum of 10 people)
  • Study Room 2 (maximum of 12 people)
  • Study Room 3 (maximum of 15 people)
